Hi,

I am looking for the code points.tar.gz by Prof. Jon Leech.
ftp://ftp.cs.unc.edu/pub/users/jon/points.tar.gz
the link does not work now.
I do not know how to contact Prof. Jon Leech.
Is there anyone who knows where I can find the code now?

The FAQ mentions Jon Leech's code for tesselating a sphere,
it points to ftp://ftp.cs.unc.edu/pub/users/leech/points.tar.gz
which isn't there, the leech directory is gone.
ftp://ftp.cs.unc.edu/pub/users/jon/points.tar.gz
Unfortunately, the UNC sysadmins were unable to keep a link from the
old username when they finally allowed us to have first names as
usernames.
I found Jon Leech's homepage but it points to the same
non-existing location.
Will try to fix it soon. Maybe someone could copy the FAQ maintainer
with the updated URL, since I rarely follow this group anymore and don't
know who's posting it now.

Try this:

http://www.eng.utah.edu/~cs5610/handouts/Adv97OpenGL/src/advanced97/sphere.c

I haven't compiled this version, but it looks like what I used around
20 years ago.
